Lungenröntgen (Thoraxröntgen, Cor-Pulmo)
Preparation: none
The lung x-ray is taken in two planes,with the patient erect;
Brief fluoroscopy may be done when the outcome is unclear.
Occasionally, computer tomography may also be required in order to clarify suspicious findings.
Pathological processes in the lungs, heart and diaphragm can be assessed on the basis of the images:
